I just finished the blaster swap on my YSR. I took her out on a 60 mile long trip.
I think she vibrates a little too much. I've heard that this engine is supposed to be smooth. It's anything but. I checked to see if the markings on the balancer line up how they should and they do. What else could be causing the vibes?
I had the frame modded by Joe, so it's not lack of boxing and bracing. The motor runs strong as hell too, thing accelerates so hard it threatens to throw you off if you don't hold on tight. I'm running Yamalube 2R at 32:1.
The only thing I can think of is that maybe the crank bearings need to be changed, but we found little to no slack.
If anyone else has done this swap feel free to chime in and tell me how smooth yours is.
